Finally finished editing my 6 month old session from Tuesday. Caleb is SOO cute and his eyes are seriously a photographer's dream! They are absolutely breath taking! I seriously did little to no editing on his eyes, promise! Enjoy!

I had a blast shooting some pictures of Joshua last week. He kept me on my toes and was in CONSTANT motion! But, he made for some cute pics. :) I have to admit though, with almost every photoshoot I do, there is one picture that just stands out to me as being the BEST picture and just captures that individual in a special way. There were some great ones of Joshua but I didn't feel like I got THE picture I was hoping for. :( Guess we'll all just have to enjoy these ones instead!

Little Miss Lydia had her 6 week session twice...once at exactly 6 weeks and one at exactly 7 weeks. The first session was just so rushed I felt like I needed a second chance to capture her personality. Although she would NOT smile for me for that 'perfect picture,' we still managed to get some cute ones.

I have had the privaledge of being able to take pictures of Grant a couple times now and I tell you, he is an easy subject to take pictures of! He is SOO adorable, even when he just sits there and looks at me. :) He doesn't even have to smile. But when he does, those cheeks are just so cute! He has the most perfect little lips...

I am still not happy with this one as it just doesn't seem to fit but I was just starting to give up so this one will have to do. Thanks again to Merci BowTu (check them out!!) for the adorable headband and tutu for this Tutu session. Miss Olivia Mae was a lot of fun and definitely had me on my toes! I was worn out by the time our session was done. :) Way too full of energy for me! Although I am disappointed that a lot of the pictures didn't come out as crisp as I would have liked them to, I think we were still able to capture some cute shots! The weather last week was just not cooperative for taking pictures! Enjoy her proofs below!

Thanks to Merci BowTu, I have been able to have a few photo sessions specifically for getting pictures of little princesses in their tutus and bows. Miss Olivia Grace just turned two a few weeks ago and looked so sweet in her little tutu. I also was able to take her pictures in an ADORABLE coat and bonnet made by her grandmother. I loved being able to take and edit these pictures today. This is such a special time in a woman's life and I am so thankful that I was able to capture this moment in time for such a sweet family. Its been awhile since I have updated my photography blog, and for those of you that follow it, sorry about that! The reason I have been a bit lacking on my picture taking and especially posting is because I had a precious baby boy, Tyler, who is now already 3 1/2 months old! I have also photographed my first wedding which has kept me busy the last 3 weeks with editing!! AHHH!! I was so nervous for the wedding day, but thanks to my wonderful husband and good friend, Cynetta, I was able to capture some precious moments for Megan and Lucas. Last year for Christmas, I was able to give my sister, Joanna and brother in law two 8 x 10 collages. One was a "precious parts" collage and the other was a family collage. Since my second nephew was born the exact same time of year, I was able to do the same for my other sister, Stephanie and her husband. Here is what I threw together...

I hope to get another try at this, but here is my attempt from yesterday of Benjamin's 6 week shots. I think I just needed more props and stuff to help this little guy pose a little better. Any ideas? We used a bobby, a beanbag, and several blankets.

Quick Photoshoot

Last week, Tim and I made a quick trip to West Virginia for my nephew's 1st birthday. While we were there, my aunt asked me to take some quick pictures of my cousins so that she wouldn't have to pay for school pictures (I guess they are outrageous!) I wouldn't call this my best work, it was literally done in about 5 minutes...but here they are!

Jacob, who just turned 8 on Monday of this week! Jacob had a little bit of a problem with the whole picture taking thing...he couldn't smile and look his normal self and then when I tried to make him laugh or smile, it just got worse. :)

So, I told him, "Jacob, for this next one, think of something funny" and this is what he did...

apparently, he does this a lot...Jennifer really liked this one because it shows Jacob for who he really is :)

This video is a summary of the new little life of my nephew. (now 2 weeks old already!!) The pictures at the beginning aren't exactly pictures I would brag about as most of them are blurry and stuff but the pictures at the end, I really did try! I love taking pictures of babies! Especially because I get to tell everyone else not to bother me and the baby for awhile because I don't want the baby to be overwhelmed with all the commotion. Really its just an excuse to be just me and the baby for awhile and I use a fancy camera to do it! :)

Yesterday, Joel, Cynetta, Noah, Tim and I headed over to Easaw and Susy Thomas' house (super nice couple from our church that have an AWESOME house and pond) to take Cynetta's pregnancy pictures as well as do some family shots. All of the pictures I take are taken free of charge and I like it like that. This is strictly a hobby. I do not and will not ever claim to be a professional by any means.
